Just got a call from my dealer. The Edition 1 I reserved was unloaded from the boat last night. Unfortunately I still have to wait until it can be trucked to OKC before I get to see it. But its progress, Woot! :big smile:

Sounds about right. I was driving by Baltimore Harbor yesterday evening around 5pm heading to NYC and saw a huge Wallenius Wilhelmsen freight ship docked there. Now probably waiting for them to be released by MB.

From What I was told, MB will not release the car from port until just before launch (just enough time to ship to dealer). So I probably won't get any pics until launch day, bummer.

Exactly. They will be releasing the cars at launch date -- see my response in other thread, I've attached my dealership response.

Congrats. My dealer told me my Ed1 was on the boat and will land Sep 4. It should be available around mid-Sep.

Edition 1 MSRP is $41,825. My local dealer is offering them for $40,412 which is $750 over invoice.

I was given an estimate of $41,890 (includes DD) but they won't commit to any price until Mercedes releases the official Edition 1 package price. Hopefully that will be soon since launch day is fast approaching!

Edition 1 pricing was released weeks ago, so either your dealer is holding out on you or they need to stay updated.

Interesting. According to other dealers (like JPMBenz) on this forum (see "Edition 1 arriving for anyone?" thread) that info hasn't been released yet. May I ask which dealer you are using? I will give them a call to find out when and how they got the info so I can ask my dealer about it. I already talked to another in state dealer who said he didn't have it either. This whole thing is getting frustrating. I can't seem to get any straight answers.

The price (MSRP & DD) is clearly stated in my PO.

My PO says $31,545 (base + paint + DD). For the Edition 1 stuff it just says Price not on file. Since that's what my PO says then that's the price I should pay right :smile:...I wish.

I guess I will be digging for answers now. Beginning to wonder if I should go out of state to purchase a CLA.

Your dealers are blowing smoke up your you know what. They have not released the pricing on the E1. They are estimating by building one in the system with like options. E1 packages USUALLY come in cheaper due to it being a package deal. As soon as I get the price I will post a copy of the build sheet for a E1.
