Not if you pick up the car from Germany :de:
Yes as SuperCLA noted there is no delivery charge for European delivery - go figure.I saw on the MBUSA.com everytime i build a car there the transportation charge will always be included, im just wondering if do you always have to pay for that ?
To the best of my knowledge, every company charges you for transport. Others may call it a Destination Fee or a Freight Charge or another similar term but it's all the same and it's always on top of MSRP.I saw on the MBUSA.com everytime i build a car there the transportation charge will always be included, im just wondering if do you always have to pay for that ?
If only you're thinking one by one not a whole lot of carsWhat do you think it will cost you to ship the car back home if you would pick it up in Germany?
Probably a whole lot more then what the dealer charges you...
The shipping back to the States or Canada is free in European DeliveryWhat do you think it will cost you to ship the car back home if you would pick it up in Germany?

It's only if you return the car to the factory or port in Belgium (? Antwarp) - at least that was the case a couple of decades ago.The shipping back to the States or Canada is free in European Delivery

Aside from saving the delivery charges, is there additional discount like they used to do ( like 5% in the 80's ? )I'm picking up my car in Stuttgart and will drop off there 2 weeks later after touring Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Germany.
I'm using frequent flyer miles for the trip from the US so Stuttgart pick and drop off was the optimum itinerary for me.
Being able to use FF miles definitely makes ED much more of a reasonable option.
My wife is coming with me on the trip and We are fortunate to have enough miles for business class. If we had to pay for these tickets they would cost $4700 each.
BTW Mercedes also includes a free night of accommodation at a 5 star hotel with the purchase.
Complimentary for one week or something like that. Plus they ship it to North America for free, at least for Canada that is. I don't know about the U.S but it should be the same. Other then that I dont think you get any discountsAside from saving the delivery charges, is there additional discount like they used to do ( like 5% in the 80's ? )
Also how much do they charge for insurance while you are driving in Europe ? Is that complimentary ?
No drop off charges ?
I'm getting 7% off MSRP on both the price of the car and the options.Aside from saving the delivery charges, is there additional discount like they used to do ( like 5% in the 80's ? )

Normal Mercedes discount is 7% off both MSRP and options but not all models get a discount. Are you getting more than 7% in total? I was advised that European Delivery was a straight 7% off of the car's total MSRP and that no other discounts could be applied. Is that not true?
