Anyone know where MB plans to stick the ugly amber lenses that are requires in the U.S.? Naturally, theyre not going to have them on any of the ads or in any car shows because it will deter people to see the amber lenses as they are an eye sore... so I am wondering where they will be putting them on the U.S. models...

Look how terrible they did them on the CLS bumper.... It doesnt flow with the body at all and looks so out of place. I hope they dont ruin it for us on the CLA...

that orange lens is actually for your safety.... other cars, especially at night will see you... guess you can always plastic dip it or ???
It wouldn't be eliminating the light, it would be eliminating the amber colored lens. If anything, it makes it more visible with white light (LED replacement after removing the lens; assuming there's a bulb behind the lens). If it was that important for safety, they would all have them worldwide.

what bugs me more is that the non xenon headlight equipped model will not have LED daytime running lights :(. I know the option is only 800 bucks, but for those who want to save money, at least MB could have found a way to incorporate the LEDs.

Hehehe, but thats how they pull you in for the $800, by leaving you without the LEDs because they know how much you want them! ;)

The standard headlights aren't even projector headlamps, which would've allowed for a quality aftermarket plug-&-play Xenon HID kit to be used in the CLA. The use of reflector headlamps rather surprised me.

And yes- the LED-DRL do somewhat make the optional Bi-Xenon HID headlights worth it, ha! :D

It's a scary cascade, admittedly. There's also the optional illuminated side-sills. Then, there's the optional illuminated tri-star for the front grille. Neat lights, cool lights, and even more awesome lights! :p

Doesn't look that bad on the Mercedes page but hopefully the amber lenses don't fuck up the look of the car in real life, im really picky about these things.
They photoshopped it to look slightly smoked so it doesnt stand out as bad as it will in real life...
