Welcome to MercedesCLA.org -- we are glad to have you as a member of our community. We ask that all new members who join create an introduction thread and tell us a little bit about themselves. You can include previous cars you have owned, a bit of information about your CLA (if you own one, or about your future CLA if you don't) and any modifications you may be planning on doing.

This helps everyone get to know each other and fosters friendly discussions.

Guess I'm first. I'm 40 years old and I live in Toronto, Canada. I'm married with one son in university. I currently drive a 2003 C-240 Elegance. It has 225,000km on it and it's time to upgrade!!!

I'm thinking of getting the CLA250 (would love it if they released a CLA350) with the premier and sports packages. Of course, it still depends on the price of the car and the packages. Would love to know more information about the CLA AMG version, if it's priced right, I may have to buy that instead.
I'm a petrol-head with a fiscally practical mentality (aka cheap) that prevents me from going too wild with buying cars and modifying them. I keep my cars for at least 10+ years and do my own work on them. I'm a longtime member of the VW/Audi community as well as a BMWCCA member for 5 years. I have an annual trip to the BMW factory for the 1-day ///M School to get my performance driving education and high speed thrills out of my system. I've done it for the last three years. I've also attended an Audi an Porsche driving school:

I currently drive a 2001.5 VW Passat 1.8T and it has 122,000 miles on it. We've owned it since new and it's was my first car I can call my own.

I've had multiple company cars in between that run across many brands. The last company moved to the GLK350 as the standard issue car.

I'm thinking of a CLA250 with premier and sports package. Black exterior with a Saddle brown interior.

Nice intro Den79y, first off welcome to the site and glad to see you are adding another MB to the family.
Welcome aboard Den! When do you expect the CLA to arrive?

Greetings everyone! I'm recently retired from a long stint in state of OK public service and have mostly driven German cars (BMW's) throughout my car career... Currently driving a 2010 VW CC with Lux package, Dynaudio, and optional ground effects kit installed at the port, as I just didn't make the emotional connection to the styling language of the 3 series under the Bangle design team (whose influence is still present in current 3 series models today), and when the CC arrived in the states I was really drawn to it .... I actually really enjoy this CC, it drives very well and has a nice turn of speed and solid quality about it. That being said, and trade in time looming, I was immediately stricken with the CLA Concept Coupe when first introduced in Beijing last year, and when my turn comes to trade the CC, the CLA will be a top contender in line to raiding my retirement funds.. :)

The CC was to my understanding, designed by the same individual who crafted the original Merc CLS, and now with the advent of the striking CLA, I can see the basic DNA in all 3 designs. This is a style of auto design which I am particularly fond of. I'm looking forward to some road tests on the US model CLA soon, and also to a personal test drive of a well equipped CLA for possible purchase! Good to be a member of a club whose members share an obvious great taste in good looking and well engineered cars !

Welcome aboard. My aunt lives in Tulsa, OK and drives a 2009 E-Class. She loves it and loves driving it fast!!!
Hello Folks:

I haven't had a MB since 1998 and this might be the next one. I am also keeping an eye on the GLK250 Diesel.

Hello, and welcome to the site. I'll bet MB is glad that the CLA is tempting you to come back into the fold :)

Well, I have kept German...Had a Touareg V6 loaded and have a Jetta TDI since 2010. Hard to give up the mileage on the diesel. Right now I keep my sanity by ripping on my Ducati Diavel...:p
