I'll be trading in a 2010 NIssan Maxima w/ Sports Package. I've had my Maxima since the debut, back in 2010. I rarely drive it due to the irritating CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) and the massive gas consumption from residential driving. I'll be losing a lot of amenities from moving over to the MB CLA, but the MB CLA will definitely compliment my style of driving.

Let's hear what others are trading and why...

Still up in the air on whether I want to trade it in but probably my 2005 Volvo S60R. I would miss the manual on my DD but it all depends on how much the dealer is going to give me for it. My wife would probably tell me I'm crazy if I try to keep it but...I am crazy. Maybe I should keep it for my kids to drive one day when they're old enough...in like...9 years. lol

2011 C300 4matic. Lease is up 6/2014. There's a good chance I'll be ending the lease early and starting another lease in Nov/Dec when the 45's arrive. The C300 is very nice but too tame. My previous car was a 2004 WRX tuned to 360 hp. That hp figure sounds very similar to another AWD beast, doesn't it?

If it is the car I expect it to be, the CLA45 will replace my '07.5 335i coupe with Dinan tuning to 400 (hp & ft/lb) - plus a few other little goodies. The lose will feel personal; I picked it up at the factory, and it is the only car I have ever kept for 5 years.
I just started counting fingers, and came up with 6 by the time my car will be delivered. Now I don't feel like I will be dumping a baby on the street alone.

2004 Mazda RX8. Bought my RX8 before it was available . . . . similar to the CLA! Loved this car, but have had numerous starting issues the last two years. I know I'm going to miss my standard transmission :( I guess it's time to grow up . . . .

Just curious, did you ever suffer from the rotary's infamous flooding issue? I thought about picking one up before I bought my Volvo. I've always loved Mazdas. Maybe I just have a thing for the scrappy underdog. lol At the time, I was trading in a 2 seater a sedan because I needed something 'more practical' for hauling a baby. I was really fighting the 'need' to buy a sedan but knew the R was more practical for me. I still wish they imported a Mazdaspeed version though.
