Will C63 rims fit on CLA45?

I've always been a fan of the C63 rims (the solid 5 spoke AMG 18" rims, not the twin 5 spoke AMG one on regular c-classes), just wondering whether they will likely fit on the CLA45.

I understand the C63 OEM ones are staggered in that the fronts are 8x18 with 45mm offset while the backs are 9x18 with 54mm offset, while the CLA45 seems to sport 8x18 with 48mm offset both front and back... but if I somehow get my hands on two sets of fronts, do you guys think it'll fit onto the CLA45 without rubbing with the minor offset difference?

Thanks,
A

3mm isn't material until it is. 3mm is what? about a 1/10 of an inch? Doesn't seem like much to worry about but I think the answer depends on the geometry and measurements of the CLA's brake assembly, suspension, existing space from the fender, etc. For example, how do the CLA45's calipers compare to the C63's -- are they exactly the same shape and size? I don't think you necessarily know the answer even if the wheels had the exact same offset. You need more information about the CLA45 to reach a conclusion -- everything you're going to get here is just a guess without more data.

I agree, just wanted to see what other people's thoughts are... but you're right, its pretty much impossible to tell without checking the actual car itself. thanks!

Can't wait for the car to finally hit the roads to see if it'll work out.

They will fit with no problem. I will suggest you go for a full set of 9x18 by 48 so you don't rub the suspension. If you need help with the calculations let me know so I can run a quick study and tell you if you are safe or marginal. Good luck with the setup and post pictures.

Go with full set 8x18 45 offset. Closest to stock. This seller has them non-staggered by request

That is a good solid choice there, and looks nice too.

The base C63 18" rims look almost identical to the base CLA45 five twin spoke painted and polish rims. So why change ? The C-class Sport Package AMG rims are the painted variety and they are different.

The real question question should actually be: Will CLA45 rims fit on the hopefully coming soon C63 4Matic?... Our real dream car.

I'm sure the marketing managers are on top of that, believe, they are looking at everything we do to the car to make sure the C series becomes the hammer we all want.
I've also been looking at c63 wheels as a possible summer setup, but I happen to like these. Anyone know if I could get these in non-staggered 19s?

Yes you can. On a 19 in wheels you can get the CLS fronts with a 38 mm offset and they will fit and not void any warranty or anything of that nature. Here is a website by the name of oewheels.com they sell TPMS systems for the CLA and wheels for MB, Audi, VW etc. you can find the offset and cross fitments between CLA, C and CLS. Good luck in getting this e 19's.
