can you link the part for me because last time I tried to get gas, my door would not close, it had to kept opening on me, until i pushed down on the lock and held the fuel door flap until i heard a click and it locked again. I think I need a new one, but our problems are reversed lol.

it took me 5 mins to replace the part and works like a charm. All you have to do is pop up the 2 tabs up an then it should just pop right out. Then unplug from the back then install the new one. I would suggest spraying a little bit of WD-40 on the hook n the little button below it.

Before i replaced mine, i called my local Mercedes dealership. They said it would cost me about $500--$600 to replace it. $75 for part, $175an hr for labor, then said door flap need to be replaced and painted which was around $200.

I did not need to door flap to be replaced. So i bought the part on amazon for about $38, installed it myself in about 5 mins and good to go..
