Sport Package Summer Tires (R01) and Extended Mobility Tires (R66)

Hi All,

After much debate (primarily regarding the summer tire issue), I opted for the Sport Package. My invoice shows both Extended Mobility Tires (R66) under Standard Accessories and Summer Tires (R01) under Optional Accessories. Is there any argument that I can make that I should be getting both summer and standard tires when I take delivery (e.g. two full sets of tires)? There is no indication on my invoice that shows the EMTs being removed from my order. Thoughts? Has anyone tried to make this argument?

Yes its unfortunate how even the 4matic has sport tires. But you will definitely do OK with all seasons and 4matic. I hope you are keeping the legend coupe! Thats is a great and in my opinion a classic car.

Definitely a classic! I think it'll be going to one of my cousins...hopefully staying in the family though! If we had another garage space it would be staying with me.

saraojo, I did opt for 4matic with sport package. You are correct, still summer tires.

Alex, I'm hoping I can take delivery in late March and put off the decision until next fall.

Summer tires are fine. All season tires run rough and noisy and are still somewhat pathetic in the NE, also if, like me, you have to drive in Quebec and Ontario, snow tires are mandatory in winter, snow tires do not include all season tires. Nokian Hakka R2's would be the snow tire of choice, if not available then Blizzaks, whatever, mount them on their own sport rims.

Just buy a set of all season or winter tires. $900 should suffice. Just think of itas aanother option.
If you would have opted for a 4matic, it would have cost you more. And I doubt the 4matic with sport package would have all seasons anyway.

Ha, ha, you must be a lawyer! Good luck with that argument. Only works if your car can come with two tires on each wheel!

R66 means you get run flats. R01 means they will be summer. In the end you get one set of summer run flats.
