19"/20" AMG cross-spoke forged wheels, Titanium

If you have seen how these look in person, theres no way you won't want a set..

Saw a c63s with a set of these a few months ago.. they look so nice.

Plus they are forged.

If you have the $$$, definitely throw down for a set of the cross spoke forged wheels.

Since MB does not actually make the wheel, you can buy the same wheel from after-market vendors but they will not have the MB center cap.

At least we have a part number now - AMG 9 Double-spoked Alloy Wheels R19 A;CLA | A - Class > W176 (2012-...) > Alloy wheels > AMG > Tuning

p.s. edit - My brother-in-law just checked with parts (he works at dealer) - the part number comes up but there are zero in US apparently.

I might be wrong, but I believe the wheels are made by after-market manufacturers with the AMG or MB name on the wheel.

 

Actually, the The A45 AMG Rims is one of my favorites too. I shall say that , I'll choose that over the others. I think, it is one of the hottest choice of car riders and seems to have the best style.

Well obviously Mercedes does not make the wheel themselves - & Ronal is major supplier - that does not mean you can get identical wheel in a 'generic' application - the styles that they build for Mercedes are proprietary to them

There are several styles of after-market that are similar, if not quite identical - one similar to the AMG-A45 style (and reasonably priced!) is the HRE FlowForm FFF01 (few less spokes however and no machined finish lip)

And more expensive model in their forged range, the RC1 (closer in design but again no machined lip)

 

Those A45 wheels are most closely styled after the BBS LM/RGR set without a lip.


The 'mesh' wheel style is nothing new though, and has been around for years.

BBS lists AMG as one of their OEM vendors, so there is a chance that they were either involved in the design process or some other way with those mesh styles that they are putting out now.

Current favourite has just become this BBS RX-R, Black inner with machined face
This wheel also uses the 'Flow-Forming' type process which seems to becoming feature of many of the wheel manufacturers;
while not quite forged, step above regular cast.

And available in CLA fitment at 19 x 8.5 ET 45 5 x 112

When it comes to the actual center cap diameter, it gets kind of complicated because there are multiple diameters, the overall cap from the outside face, then the inner clip diameters of the flanges and the clip.

The outer diameter might measure true to 58mm or whatever but there are multiple combinations and permutations for the back/clip sizes.

 

Oh boy this is really complicated. This is one of the reasons why I was sticking with the MB rims cause I love my raised red centercaps

For the 19 x 8.5 is 25.9 lbs

Wow thats still kinda heavy well could be worse as the stock 18s are 26lbs

 

Yup no problem man.

I tried getting matching OEM-styled caps for aftermarket rims for my previous car and after ordering 2 sets that were supposedly the 'right size' I found out that the sizing depends on where they measure them.

 

The first design suits your car colour. Do you know whats the weight of these rims?
